VIDEO // Moldovan Prime Minister welcomed by his counterpart at Victoria Palace

Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Alexandru Munteanu visiting Bucharest was welcomed by his counterpart Ilie Bolojan at Victoria Palace.

The two officials are scheduled to have an official meeting, after which they will hold joint press statements.

The prime ministers will discuss topics on the bilateral agenda, with a focus on projects of common interest that have a direct impact on citizens of both states, announced the Government of Chișinău in a press release.

In the morning, Munteanu was received at Cotroceni Palace by President of Romania Nicușor Dan. "We have a unique opportunity," Munteanu declared during the meeting with the Romanian head of state, emphasizing that for the Republic of Moldova the European path "is not just a strategic direction, but a movement of survival and protection." The Prime Minister thanked the President of Romania for the support provided to the Republic of Moldova.

The agenda also includes discussions with officials from the Romanian Parliament and a meeting with Her Majesty Margareta, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Radu, Consort Prince of Romania.

Alexandru Munteanu is accompanied in Bucharest by several members of the Cabinet of Ministers, including the Secretary-General of the Government, Alexei Buzu, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Osmochescu, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu.

This is the first foreign visit of Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu since his appointment to office.
