As many as 509 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,803 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 509 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which six import ones. As many as 248,518 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 7 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 2, medical assistants –1, auxiliary staff - 4.
As many as 2,430 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 235 are in extremely serious condition (42 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
In the context, 3,793 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,945 are under supervision at home.
Another 911 people have been treated. As many as 235,965 people were treated ofCOVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 23 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,691 people have died of coronavirus in all.
