
Chișinău Airport confirms incident involving mobile staircase contacting aircraft
Chișinău International Airport (AIC) announces that, this morning, an incident occurred in which a mobile staircase operated by Airport Handling company came into contact with Wizz Air aircraft on the ground.
“We confirm the incident and mention that it did not affect the safety of passengers or staff. All questions regarding the exact causes and circumstances of the incident should be addressed to the involved companies: Wizz Air and Airport Handling,” states AIC.
The decision regarding the cancellation or delay of Chișinău – Bucharest flight belongs to Wizz Air. Affected passengers will be informed directly by the airline, explains the source.
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused and assure travelers that safety remains our main priority,” concludes Chișinău International Airport.
