
Citizens submitted over 2,000 petitions to parliament in first half of year
Chisinau, August 13 /MOLDPRES/- Citizens and legal entities submitted 2,186 petitions and reports to parliament in the first half of the year.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, out of the total number of reports, 1,825 were written petitions and 361 were verbal ones. At the same time, 1201 petitions were examined in the Parliament, and 634 were sent to the competent authorities. Most petitions were examined by the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance (89), the legal committee on rules and immunities (80) and the Committee on Social Protection, Health and Family (58).
The most petitioners - 962 were from the capital, 398 petitions were sent by the residents of the Transnistrian region, 164 – by the citizens of Râscani district, and 62 – by citizens from outside the country.
