Difficult weather conditions cause power outages in several localities

In some localities across the country, power outages have occurred after disruptions were recorded in the operation of electricity distribution networks due to bad weather.

Thus, the distribution system operator in the central and southern regions of the country reported, at 06:00, a total of 1,222 affected consumers in two districts. To remedy the situation, 17 intervention teams were deployed, each team consisting of 2–5 people, depending on the specifics of the work.

According to operational information, the most affected localities are Bălțata and Vlăduleni, Criuleni district, with 401 consumers disconnected from electricity, and the village of Ulmu, Ialoveni district, where 821 consumers are disconnected from power. In total, three localities were affected, with a cumulative number of 1,409 disconnected consumers.

At the same time, the operator in the northern part of the country reported unplanned power outages for a total of 2,766 consumers, recorded in three districts in the northern area of the country. These are Sângerei district, localities of Prepelița and Pepeni, with six affected consumers; Edineț district, the town of Cupcini and the localities of Brătusanii Noi, Galinovca, Chișmigia-Nouă, Brătusani, Brătusanii Vechi and Sofrîncani, with 2,247 affected consumers; and Drochia district – the village of Ochiul Alb, with 513 affected consumers. In total, in the northern area 10 localities were affected, with 2,766 disconnected consumers.

Intervention and power restoration works are underway, and distribution operators are continuously monitoring the situation.

The state enterprise “Moldelectrica” announced that today, between 00:00 and 06:00, no incidents or faults were recorded in the electricity transmission network.
