Gheorghe Cavcaliuc summoned to PCCOCS in Petic, Verbițchi cases
Chişinău, 29 October /MOLDPRES/- The Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS) announced today that it will continue its investigations into the fabricated cases on citizens Gheorghe Petic and Ruslan Verbitchi. For this purpose, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc was summoned as suspect for 5 November.
According to the PCCOCS, the cases are related to a rape and the illegal transport of Kalashnikov cartridges to Ukraine - criminal cases fabricated in 2018 by the General Inspectorate of Police. In both cases there are several suspects and defendants, including persons placed in pre-trial detention.
The PCCOCS notes it will continue to inform public about the progress of the investigations, insofar as their conduct and rights are not affected.
