Hydrologists warn about increase of Prut river's level in Moldova
Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Centre (SHS) has informed about the increase in the level of the Prut river for 11-13 March.
„Because of the melting of snow and precipitation recorded in the upper course of the Prut river (Ukraine), the water level will increase by 30-90 cm on the segment Criva-Costesti, in the time interval 11-13 March, without negative consequences,’’ the institution said.
On the Dniester river, the water level will vary by 15-25 cm on the Naslavcea-Dubasari segment in the next 24 hours. The hydrological regime of the Dniester river will depend on the average daily flow overflown from the Dnestrovsk reservoir.
No essential changes will take place in the hydrological regime on the other segments of the Prut and Dniester rivers, as well as on small rivers, SHS added.
