Education Ministry continues registrations for competition to fill vacant teaching positions
The Ministry of Education and Research is conducting registrations for the competition to allocate candidates to vacant teaching positions for the 2026–2027 academic year. Over 100 young people have already applied for the competition.
The competition is open to young people who have graduated from pedagogical study programs or programs related to school subjects.
“In recent years, the ministry has adopted a series of measures to support young people who want to work in schools and kindergartens. Thus, graduates with higher education who take up teaching positions in STEM fields in rural areas can receive an allowance of up to 375,000 lei. Those who choose to work in the municipalities of Chișinău or Bălți can receive up to 300,000 lei,” the ministry said.
In addition to the allowance, beginning teachers benefit from: a reduced teaching load of 75% in the first five years of activity, an annual allowance of 4,000 lei for teaching materials, annual leave of up to 62 days, and support from a mentor.
Application files may be submitted until 15 July 2026.
