Lawyer withdrew from competition for Disciplinary Board of Judges

The candidate nominated by the Ministry of Justice for the position of member of the Disciplinary Board of Judges within the Superior Council of Magistracy, Andrei Rezuș, has withdrawn from the competition.

The Judges’ Evaluation Commission announces that, according to the Law on certain measures related to the selection of candidates for the position of member in the self-governing bodies of judges and prosecutors, the withdrawal of a candidate during the external integrity evaluation procedure is equivalent to failing the evaluation.

Consequently, by the decision adopted today, the Commission established that the candidate failed the evaluation as a result of his withdrawal from the competition and notified both the candidate and the Ministry of Justice, the authority responsible for organizing the competition.
