Parliament hosts exhibition - Ștefan cel Mare: From History into Eternity
Over 100 rare documents and publications about the life and reign of Sefan cel Mare are on display starting today at the Parliament, as part of an exhibition dedicated to the great voivode. The event is organized on the occasion of the commemoration, on July 2, of 522 years since his passing into eternity.
The exhibition Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt : From History into Eternity brings together items from the heritage of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, including monographs, encyclopedias, photographs, and periodical editions, some preserved in a single copy. Visitors can discover historical documents contemporary with the reign of Stefan cel Mare, as well as works dedicated to the life, activity, and family of the voivode.
According to the organizers, the exhibition highlights the historical legacy of the voivode who ruled the Principality of Moldavia for over 47 years, the longest reign in the country’s history, a period considered a peak era due to the consolidation of the state, military victories, and the founding of dozens of churches and monasteries.
The exhibition is organized by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, and can be visited until the end of July as part of guided tours at the Parliament Museum.
