Public Property Agency director announces resignation

Roman Cojuhari has announced that he is resigning from his position as Director General of the Public Property Agency, stating that the decision is based on his desire to protect the image of the institution and his team. Cojuhari declared that he assumes responsibility for the need for additional verification of documents and decisions related to the activity of MoldATSA and advocated for the continuation of reforms regarding the transparent management of public assets.

“I care about the team, whose credibility has suffered during this period. I also care about the future of the Republic of Moldova, and I want our country to firmly continue on the European path, to consolidate strong institutions and to ensure efficient, transparent and responsible management of public assets and public money. Out of respect for these values and in order to protect the image of the institution and the team, I have decided to submit my resignation from the position of Director General of the Public Property Agency,” wrote Roman Cojuhari on his Facebook page.

In his message, Cojuhari also reviewed the activity carried out during his mandate, mentioning among the main achievements the management of Chișinău International Airport after its return to state administration, the launch of Moldova HiTech Park, the increase of revenues of state-owned enterprises, the relaunch of the privatization process through transparent procedures, and the restructuring of several state-owned enterprises.

Today, MP Radu Marian announced his resignation from the position of Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, noting that he will continue to contribute, in his capacity as MP, to the European path of the Republic of Moldova. The decision comes after a series of events related to the activity of the Public Property Agency and the enterprise MoldATSA, where the PPA initiated an inquiry following information that appeared in the public space regarding the legality of certain documents in the competition file of Director Dumitru Vangheli and aspects related to the company’s management.

Subsequently, the director of MoldATSA was suspended and dismissed by the PPA.
