Many consumers disconnected from power due to bad weather

Difficult weather conditions in recent days have caused power outages in several localities across the country. Intervention teams are in the field working to reconnect citizens to electricity as quickly as possible.

In the central and southern areas of the country, a total of 1,256 affected consumers were recorded in the localities of Slobozia and Răscăieții Noi in Ștefan Vodă district. To repair the damage, 17 teams/brigades were deployed, each team consisting of 2–5 people depending on the specifics of the work.

In the northern area, the operator reported unplanned outages for a total of 8,522 consumers in two districts. In total, according to data from this morning, 28 localities were partially affected in the districts of Edineț, Briceni, Sîngerei, Drochia and Soroca.

At the same time, the state enterprise "Moldelectrica" did not register any faults in the electricity transmission network during the night, and the operational situation of the national power system corresponds to the planned regime.

The Ministry of Energy warned that in recent days a false warning has been circulating in tenants’ association chats about massive power cuts across the country between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The authorities clarified that no such outages have been scheduled and urged citizens to verify any information through official sources.
