Meteorologists are forecasting rain, sleet and snow for the days off. Fog will be widespread and isolated icy patches will persist.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, on February 14, during the night, light rain is expected locally in the southern half of the country. On February 15, in the morning and during the day, widespread precipitation is expected, predominantly in the form of rain, and in the north turning into sleet and snow. On February 16, during the night, light snow is forecast locally.
On February 14, fog will be reported over large areas, and isolated icy patches will persist. The wind will blow from the west, weak to moderate, and on February 15 with isolated gusts of up to 15–18 m/s, later decreasing. On this period, the sky will be variable and cloudy.
Temperatures will gradually decrease. Thus, nighttime minima will range from 0 to +5 degrees Celsius, then down to –8 to –3 degrees Celsius. Daytime maxima will range from +7 to +12 degrees Celsius (locally in the north +4 to +6 degrees Celsius), decreasing to –3 to +2 degrees Celsius.
Over the next week, the air temperatures will continue to drop.
