
Moldova's General Police Inspectorate warns about false emails sent in the name of National Police chief
The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) has warned citizens about the fact that false content messages were being distributed to email addresses in the name of the National Police chief.
According to IGP, cybercriminals are sending out false summons via email in the name of the National Police Chief, with a court injunction related to judicial investigations.
In the context, the law enforcers urge citizens to be vigilant, seek information only from official sources and verify any information received.
Individuals who receive such a message in their email are advised to report it to the police at 112.
