Moldova's Superior Council of Magistracy approves promotion of judge, rejects another evaluation report

The Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) today examined two reports by the Judges’ Evaluation Commission concerning magistrates who have held or currently hold leadership positions in first-instance courts.

During the meeting, the CSM accepted the Commission’s report proposing the promotion of Judge Ion Rusu, acting president of the Drochia Court.

At the same time, as for Judge Sofia Ghidirim (Aramă), the CSM accepted the report recommending non‑promotion.

Thus, Judge Sofia Ghidirim was stripped of the right to hold public office for a period of five years, without entitlement to the single severance indemnity.
