Moldova under Yellow Code of severe weather conditions on November 19: sleet, snow, rain all over country
The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has informed about a Yellow Code of severe weather conditions for November 19.
According to meteorologists, the Yellow Code is in effect starting tonight till November 19, at 12:00 PM.
“Precipitation will occur, in the northern and central regions in the form of sleet and snow, while in the south - rain and sleet. A predominantly cloudy sky is expected on the concerned period. In the morning and early part of the day, mixed-phase precipitation will fall. Isolated ice formation is expected. Wind: from the northeast, light to moderate. Nighttime minimum temperatures will range from -2 to +3°C and daytime highs from +2 to +7°C,” said SHS
In the event of a Yellow Code, weather conditions are potentially dangerous. The forecast meteorological phenomena are common for the country's territory, but can temporarily become dangerous to certain social and economic activities.
