Citizens invested about 648 million lei in government bonds over past year
Over the past year, Moldovan citizens have invested about 648 million lei in government bonds, through seven issues conducted by the Ministry of Finance on evms.md platform. Government spokesperson Daniel Vodă unveiled the data.
A new subscription period for government securities is open until August 27 and represents the second session out of three scheduled for the third quarter of this year. During this period, citizens can invest in bonds with advantageous fixed interest rates: 6.8% annually for three-year maturity and 7% annually for four-year maturity.
Interest is paid semi-annually, directly into the investor's bank account, and the income is tax-exempt.
According to the Ministry of Finance, in the previous session, held on July 21–30, 2025, over 300 citizens placed 18 million lei.
The next subscription period is scheduled between September 8–17, 2025. The calendar of sessions is published on the Ministry of Finance's website and on evms.md.
The eVMS.md platform was launched in the summer of last year. Government Securities are among the safest investment instruments due to the full guarantee provided by the state.
