
Moldovan National Army's servicemen start training for military parade
Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - National Army’s servicemen have started trainings for the military parade due to take place on 27 August, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s Independence.
The National Army’s commander, Igor Gorgan, said that presently the military participating in the parade were selected in units and the formations are created due to defile on the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN), along with representatives of the Interior Ministry (MAI) and Intelligence and Security Service (SIS).
Gorgan noted that military from the garrisons of Balti, Chisinau and Cahul, Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy, as well as a group of veterans of the 1992 Transnistria War for the defence of Moldova’s integrity and independence would participate in the parade.
The joint trainings will take place under the bridge of the Hancesti highway, Telecentru district of Chisinau, in next August. The general rehearsals will be held on PMAN in the second ten-day period of August.
The decree on the holding of the military parade occasioned by the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s Independence was signed by President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Maia Sandu and published in the Official Journal on 23 July.
