Moldovan president says people of Moldova only together can build country where each man is respected, backed
President Maia Sandu today participated in the National Trade Unions Forum. The event brought together over 3,000 trade union activists from all over Moldova.
The head of state stressed that Moldova’s future was built with courageous people, united by a single wish: a better life here, at home.
„At the National Trade Unions Forum, I referred to the force which comes from unity. Only together – through honest work, mutual respect and solidarity – we can build a Moldova in which each man is respected and backed. A strong economy comes from educated and motivated people. Therefore, we put emphasis on quality education, better conditions for work, support for innovation and continuous professional training, as well as on combating the inequalities which still exist,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
The Social Synergy National Trade Unions Forum, organized by the National Trade Unions Confederation of Moldova, brought together trade union leaders, representatives of the business environment, public institutions and development partners, in order to discuss the challenges and the future of the labour market.
