Moldovan Prosecutor General's Office verifies purchasing of electric energy
Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Prosecutor General’s Office (PG) verifies the lawfulness of the conclusion of the contract on the supply of electric energy to Moldova from Ukraine in 2008.
The verifications started on 5 May this year, after Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo had cancelled the ordinance on refusal of starting the criminal prosecution on this case, issued by the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS) in 2017.
The action comes as a result of the appearance of new relevant circumstances, with PG presently being in process of collecting the evidence necessary to decide a legal solution on this case.
We specify that the solution decided by the Chisinau Court, Ciocana district, on 7 June was issued in the context of observance of the concerned ordinance by the Prosecutor General on the resumption of the criminal prosecution.
Presently, the investigations are carried out ‘’in rem’’, with no procedural status assigned to anybody in this case.
