
More mobile teams vaccinated against CIOVID-19 in villages from south Moldova district
Chisinau, 6 June /MOLDPRES/ - Fifteen mobile teams made up of 35 volunteers of the association of students and residents of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy on 5 June were moving from house to house in the Gura Galbenei village, southern Cimislia district, to inform local residents about the benefits of the vaccination against COVID-19 and, at the same time, immunizing the people willing to do this.
According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, such marathons will continue all over Moldova. About 270 people were vaccinated and about 2,000 were informed in all on 5 June.
The project on organization of mobile teams for vaccination against COVID-19 is carried out with the support of the World Health Organization and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Moldova.
Also during this week-end, vaccination marathons were organized in the towns of Briceni and Edinet.
The Vaccination Marathon was organized at the Palace of the Republic on 28-30 May. More than 5,500 people from all over the country were vaccinated against COVID-19 at that time.
The campaign of immunization against COVID-19 started in Moldova on 2 March. As many as 469,665 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
