Moscow-based enterprise donates five special snow-clearing vehicles to Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ - A Moscow-based enterprise has donated five vehicles for clearing snow and maintaining the road infrastructure to the Chisinau municipality. The special vehicles have covered a distance since 2017 - their fabrication year, and today were presented at an event held in the centre of Moldova’s capital.
Attending the event, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said that the need of such multifunctional machines was urgent for the Chisinau city, given that the snow-clearing vehicles of the Municipal Enterprise EXDRUPO Administration are old and go wrong periodically.
„This donation has come following discussions I had with the Moscow city administration in last January. The purchasing of five new vehicles of this kind would have cost the city hall about 2.1 million lei – sources which we did not avail of at that time,’’ Ceban said.
The special cars are of Kamaz model and the special equipment integrated is made by specialized companies. Three of the vehicles have equipment for washing streets as well.
Presently, the EXDRUPO administration has 68 special vehicles which can intervene for snow clearing, of which 21 are multifunctional cars.
