Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today visited the Andrieș kindergarten in the northern Soldanesti town. The early education institution was renovated through the European Village programme.

The official stressed that the institution was one of Moldova’s 150 kindergartens  that had undergone major transformations in recent years.

“Here, the water supply and sewerage networks were renovated, and the kindergarten grounds were arranged through the European Village programme. The kindergarten’s administration now plans to open a nursery group with the support of the government. Also, using its own resources, a space was set up to be able to care for children with special needs. We will strive to have such kindergartens throughout the country,” said Igor Grosu.

In the Soldanesti district, approximately 160 million lei is being invested through the European Village programmes, dedicated to the development of rural localities. Another 34 million lei has been allocated to the health system, and this year 10 million lei was earmarked for the construction and rehabilitation of local roads in more villages.
