Sixty eight health centres, 211 offices of family physicians from Moldova to receive masks donated by Switzerland

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - Family physicians and medical assistants from 68 health centres and 211 offices of family physicians of ten Moldovan districts will receive masks, gloves and disinfectants donated by Switzerland.

According to data by the Swiss Cooperation Office, the medical institutions will receive 63,700 disposable medical masks, 54,600 nitrile gloves and 760 litres of disinfectant for hands and surfaces. The action was coordinated with the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), in the context of the epidemiological situation of crisis triggered by the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The materials will be delivered to the headquarters of the health centres and distributed to offices of family physicians subordinated in two installments. In the first installment, batches of gloves and disinfectants will be distributed starting from today. In the second installment - the disposable medical masks, as of 31 March 2020.

Data put out by MSMPS shows that 125 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Moldova till today.
