STISC: We are taking necessary actions to protect cyber infrastructure

Chisinau, 26 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The Information Technology and Cyber Security Service (STISC) confirms the recording of yesterday's cyber attack on the information sources of energy service providers, specifying that it is not a cyber attack on the country's energy infrastructure.

Technicians are currently taking the necessary actions to mitigate the impact.

STISC press officer Ecaterina Staci-Grigorean explained that the attacks are daily, but without affecting the government infrastructure and the activity of state institutions. "STISC is taking the necessary actions to protect the infrastructure from management and ensure the continuity of the activity. We are collaborating closely with other institutions to monitor the situation", summarized the quoted source.

Yesterday, several sources of information (official websites) of energy service providers were subjected to a cyber attack. In particular, it is about Moldelectrica, on whose website fakes were published.
