Moldovan president conveys congratulatory message on National Day of France
President Maia Sandu today conveyed a congratulatory message to the French Republic, on the occasion of its National Day. The head of state highlighted the good collaboration relations between the two countries, as France is ‘’a strategic partner’’ of Moldova.
She said that there are deep friendship relations between the two states.
‘’On July 14, we proudly celebrate the deep friendship that unites Moldova and France. As a strategic partner and loyal friend, France holds a special place in our hearts. Happy National Day! Long live France!' said Maia Sandu.
France is a strong supporter in Moldova's EU accession process. The diplomatic relations between the two states were established on March 11, 1992. On this period, about 20 bilateral documents have been signed in various fields.
An important dimension of the Moldovan-French cooperation is the promotion of the French language and the Francophonie. France provides support for bilingual French classes in Moldova, teachers’ training and the promotion of academic and professional mobility.
The National Day of France is celebrated each year on July 14.
