Executive Vice President for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy of the European Commission comes to Chisinau

Executive Vice President for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy of the European Commission Henna Virkkunen will pay her first visit to Moldova on 15 July.

According to the EU Delegation in Chisinau, the agenda includes meetings with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Minister of Economic Development and Digitization Doina Nistor. The discussions will focus on democratic and digital resilience.

At the same time, the fight against misinformation and hybrid attacks will be discussed at meetings with representatives of the Central Electoral Commission, the Audiovisual Council and the Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation of Moldova.

The visit shows the European Union's commitment to support Moldova in strengthening democracy, informational security and digital development. In the context, Moldova's accession to the European Roam like at home area will also be discussed.
