Summer camps for children, teenagers to be reopened in Moldova
Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - Children and teenagers will again enjoy leisure and recreation in summer camps, after two years of pandemic. The government approved a decision to this effect at the cabinet meeting.
The document provides for the duties of the public authorities in the process of organization of children’s leisure (preparation of leisure camps, endowment with the needed inventory and equipment); financing of leisure camps for children and teenagers (state budget, local budgets, means paid by parents and resources allocated by enterprises, organizations and associations); providing of holiday vouchers to some categories of children; the number of beneficiaries of holiday vouchers purchased by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC), etc.
„The approximate cost of one day in leisure camp for children and teenagers, financed from the state budget, is 310 lei and in the day camps – 243 lei,’’ the quotes source said.
Within the limit of the expenses envisaged for this year, MEC will buy holiday vouchers for pupils from general education institutions from Moldova’s eastern districts and Bender municipality, subordinated to MEC, as well as for children refugees from Ukraine.
The organization and carrying out of the summer leisure for children and teenagers for the 2022 summer season will be monitored by a governmental commission.
