Two more prosecutors pass external evaluation

Prosecutors Vitalie Ivanov and Gheorghe Iapară have passed the external evaluation. The Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP) approved today, by a majority of votes, the reports of the Evaluation Commission.

According to SCP members, in the case of the two state prosecutors the commission did not identify any relevant violations that would affect their integrity.

Also today, SCP members rejected several appeals and endorsed the Prosecutor’s Office budget for 2026. In addition, the SCP plenary appointed Ruslan Lupașcu, acting chief prosecutor of the Strășeni Prosecutor’s Office, as a member of the Council of the National Institute of Justice for a four-year term.

The SCP also submitted a proposal to the Prosecutor General regarding the dismissal of prosecutor Lilia Ureche.
