According to SHS hydrologists, the forecast is triggered by the increase in the discharge of water from the Dnestrovsk reservoir (Dniester river). ‘’Given the increase in the discharge of water from the Dnestrovsk reservoir up to 1,500 cubic metres/second, the hydrological centre warns, on the period 16-20 December, about the increase in the water level on the segment Naslavcea village – Dubasari town by 2-4.5 metres against the level from 16 December (8:00),’’ the institution said.
According to the quoted source, the getting of water on meadow and underflooding of farmlands is possible.
In the context, the authorities warn the local public administration, enterprises which have reservoirs in their subordination to pay attention to the state of dams, bridges and ways of water’s evacuation, as well as to take into account the impact of the increase in the Dniester’s water level.
