Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/- Athlete Sergei Marghiev qualified today for the final test by throwing the hammer at the Tokyo Olympics.
According to the Athletics Federation, the Moldovan athlete qualified with the result of 75.94 m, obtained in the preliminary series held on the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo. The final will take place on August 4, at 20:15 (14:15, Moldova time). Also on August 4, starting with 09:05 local time, Andrian Mardare (throwing the spear) will enter the contest.
At the same time, in Sapporo, the athlete Lilia Fisikovici continues her preparation for the Olympic marathon. The women's marathon competitions will take place in this city on August 7, starting at 07:00 local time.
