Moldovan Football Federation celebrates 32nd anniversary
Chisinau, April 14 / MOLDPRES /- Moldovan Football Federation / FMF / is celebrating 32nd anniversary today.
FMF was created on April 14, 1990. The National Football Forum is a public organization, which is not subsidized from the budget, responsible for organizing, regularly, the national championships for seniors, juniors, children, women's football. FMF managed to attract financial resources from abroad for the implementation of projects dedicated to the development and promotion of football in the Republic of Moldova. In this sense, the national football authority had the support of UEFA and FIFA for the realization of the initiated projects.
The main project currently underway in the Republic of Moldova is the social project to promote the king of sports among children in the Republic of Moldova "Football in schools". In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research, FMF has implemented this project in over 200 educational institutions in the country. Football lessons in physical education lessons are conducted by teachers trained in courses organized by the national football forum. At the end of 2021, over 16,000 children played football in the "Football in Schools" project.
FMF recently became one of the five winners of the UEFA Grassroots 2021/22 Awards.
