Moldovan wrestler - Under 23 world vice-champion
Chisinau, Oct. 20 /MOLDPRES/- Greco-Roman wrestler Alexandrin Guțu (77 kg) became Under 23 world vice-champion.
According to the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS), at the competition held in Spain, he was defeated only by Armenian Malkhas Amoyan, world champion last year and European champion this year among seniors.
Also, wrestler Mihaela Samoil qualified for the final of the Under 23 World Championship in Spain. She beat Nethmi Poruthotage (Sri Lanka) and Alisha Howk (USA). In the last act of the 55 kg weight category, Mihaela will duel with the Japanese Moe Kiyooka.
"At 68 kg, Irina Rîngaci will perform in the requalifications. This after losing to the future finalists, the Turkish Nesrin Bas. For Irina, the duel with the representative of the hosts, Marta Navarro, follows", stated CNOS.
