
Gagauz lawmaker suggests that teachers from south Moldova autonomy be nourished for free too
Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ – A legislative initiative has been registered in the Gagauz – Yeri People's Assembly (APG), which stipulates that it should be provided free of charge food free students and teachers in public educational institutions of autonomy,
Such a proposal was put forward by the member of APG, Grigori Cadin. "A teacher must have the same opportunities as the pupils, having a free meal during the working day," said the representative, quoted by gagauzinfo.md.
Another representative of the APG, Elena Caramit, said that the initiative must actually be a complement to the current law on the Healthy generation Fund.
Commencing 01 January 2018, the Gagauzian People's Assembly decision came into force on the free feeding of all pupils of forms 01 – 12.
There are around eight thousand children in the secondary schools and lyceums of autonomy. Annually, it is needed the amount of almost MDL 11 million for their food. The money for this purpose is allocated from Fund Healthy generation, where, besides the authorities, there can contribute in charity the local economic agents and all the willing ones.
