Arrangement of roundabout on Moldovan capital's belt road close to completion

Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/ - The works of arranging the roundabout on M2, the belt road of the Chisinau city, integrant part of the project on rehabilitation of the M2 belt road of Chisinau (km 0,000 – km 6.550), are at the final stage of implementation, the State Administration of Roads (ASD) has reported.

According to the quoted source, the roundabout has an area of approximately 5,000 square metres, two lanes and represents a modern solution for the management of the traffic in this zone.

„The works carried out by the entrepreneur included the arrangement of the road structure, setting the metal parapet on a length of 100 metres, setting the proper road signs, as well as 23 pillars for illumination with photovoltaic panels. Also, the road marking was made, with 450 ornamental pillars set to delimit the space,’’ ASD said.

„This roundabout is necessary for easing the traffic, enhancing the safety and significant shortening of the time spent in traffic,’’ the State Administration of Roads added.
