
Compensation of over 87 million lei for electricity granted to entrepreneurs in January - August 2025
The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization announces that the value of compensations for electricity offered to entrepreneurs by the Entrepreneurship Development Organization (ODA) has exceeded 87 million lei in January – August 2025. The measure is part of the Compensation Program launched by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, with financial support from the European Union.
According to the ministry, in total, 1055 economic agents have benefited from support: 550 companies through ODA, with 2160 applications paid, amounting to over 87 million lei; 505 economic agents through the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture with 1674 paid applications, totaling over 23.8 million lei.
The program will remain active throughout 2025. Entrepreneurs can submit compensation applications fully online, either through the EVO application or via the MCabinet platform.
The electricity cost compensation program was launched by the Government to support the business environment affected by rising energy tariffs. The European Union financially supports this initiative as part of efforts to support the economy of the Republic of Moldova and the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises.
