Twenty two trolley buses produced in Moldova to move on streets of Balti
Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 22 trolley buses in Moldova will move o streets from Balti. Sixteen of them have been already delivered to the authorities and another six are to be delivered till late next August.
The trolley buses are produced in Chisinau, with both components imported from abroad and equipment made in Moldova used. Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba today visited the plant where the trolley buses are produced.
„Our industry needs a new breath and support. We have a foundation from which we should start and from which we should grow in continuation. We have 16 trolley buses which have been already delivered, produced in Chisinau with VIN code Moldova. Our country is officially country producing vehicles, Obviously, we have still much time till we catch up with the industry from the western countries; yet, we make these steps, which are the most difficult ones, but somebody should make them,’’ Dumitru Alaiba said.
The trolley buses from the Balti were purchased following a tender organized through crediting on behalf of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
