The National Association of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Companies (ATIC), in partnership with the Agency for Innovation and Development, has launched an initiative aimed at empowering women on both banks of the Dniester River to integrate into the digital economy and enhance employment opportunities.

The initiative also includes organizing Tech Women (Tiraspol) and Career Tech Expo (Chisinau) events, that will facilitate connections with employers and industry partners.

The project is supported by France and is implemented through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with funding from Sweden and the United Kingdom, under the AdTrade programme, which aims to develop export capacities and strengthen economic ties between the banks of the Dniester.

‘’This initiative paves the way towards real economic opportunities and contributes to the sustainable transformation of women's careers,’’ states Ana Chirita (ATIC).

For her part, Tatiana Jolobova (Agency for Innovation and Development) says s that, ‘’Learning becomes financial stability and a real contribution to the future.’’

The initiative, Empowering Women on Both Banks of the Dniester River in the Field of Technology, represents an important step towards a more equitable participation of women in the digital economy, with long-term impact.
