ELECTIONS 2025 // European Social Democratic Party of Moldova starts electoral campaign for September 28 parliamentary elections
The European Social Democratic Party (PSDE) has officially started its electoral campaign for the September 28 parliamentary elections at an event held at the Palace of the Republic today. The launch was attended by over a thousand members and supporters from across Moldova.
The party enters the race with the slogan, Building the Future at Home. The social-democratic leader stressed that the PSDE team comprised professionals in such fields as economy, agriculture, education, health, social protection, local public administration and the Diaspora.
Tudor Ulianovschi, PSDE President: ‘’Today we are writing a new page in the history of Moldova. It is not just the beginning of a simple electoral campaign, but the beginning of a great battle for our future. PSDE does not come with illusions and slogans, but with a serious and achievable country project. There are people ready to take over governance, to relaunch the economy and to ensure the security and well-being of citizens.’’
Among the main commitments assumed by the PSDE, there are: an average salary in the economy of 20,000 lei; a minimum pension of 5,000 lei; creation of 10,000 well-paid jobs; loans with 2-per cent interest; 'zero' state controls in the first three years for entrepreneurs; a single value added tax (VAT) of 8-per cent in agriculture; VAT payable at sale, not on the import of raw materials.
On August 29, the electoral campaign started in Moldova for the parliamentary elections. The Central Electoral Commission registered 21 electoral competitors, including four blocs, 13 parties and four independent candidates.
