President condemns Russia's attacks on Ukraine

President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu firmly condemned the massive attacks launched by the Russian Federation on Ukraine on the night of September 6 to 7, 2025. In a message on platform X, the head of state said that Russia brings the world "only tons of lies and thousands of missiles that kill innocent civilians".

"Last night's strike on Kyiv killed innocent people, including a child, and caused fires at the Government building. Moldova stands firmly with Ukraine against this terror," wrote Maia Sandu.

The Russian Federation launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine on Sunday, targeting Kyiv and several other cities in the country. According to Ukrainian authorities, explosions were reported in Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih. In the capital, the provisional toll shows at least three fatalities and 11 injured, including a pregnant woman. The Government building was damaged for the first time.

The Air Force announced that Ukraine was attacked by 805 drones, with 747 destroyed. Additionally, 13 missiles were launched: nine "Iskander-K" cruise missiles, of which four were intercepted, and four "Iskander-M/KN-23" ballistic missiles, all hitting their targets.

In total, there were 65 strikes recorded on 37 locations across regions of the country.
