Three Moldovan-Ukrainian agreements signed in Kyiv: cooperation for child protection, establishment of the Cosauti–Yampil border crossing point, professional integration
Moldova and Ukraine today signed three bilateral agreements in Kyiv, in the presence of Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu. The documents reaffirm the two states’ shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in more areas of mutual interest, for the direct benefit of citizens.
The Agreement on Cooperation in the Process of Repatriating Unaccompanied Children establishes joint mechanisms for identifying, protecting and safely returning children to their permanent place of residence. The document will allow for faster interventions by the authorities and direct cooperation between the competent institutions, in line with international child protection standards.
In addition, a Protocol was signed to facilitate the establishment of the road border crossing point between Moldova and Ukraine, Cosauti–Yampil, with the status of a point open to international traffic. A road bridge will thus be built over the Dniester River between the localities of Cosauti and Yampil, which will simplify border crossing for local residents and transport operators.
Another document signed concerns the right to paid employment for family members of diplomatic and consular mission staff. They will be able to carry out professional activities in the host country for the duration of the diplomatic mission, in line with their qualifications.
