COVID certificates verified on government's platform www.certificate-covid.gov.md in Moldova
Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - To attention of economic agents from Moldova, in the context of the decision by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) on allowing clients’ access to commercial spaces, servicing and leisure spaces only upon presentation of the COVID certificate, as of 22 January 2022, we remind that the verification of the COVID certificates can be made by accessing the webpage https://certificate-covid.gov.md/, the section Verifică certificate (Verify Certificate), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
To combat the spread of the COVID-19 infection in Moldova, the government comes up with a call to the economic agents to ensure the observance of this provision, by the use of the existing mechanism, which has been functional since October 2021.
The platform allows the verification and validation of the EU digital certificates on COVID, generated both in Moldova and in the other states inter-connected to the European information system. To equalize the COVID certificate, issued by the national electronic system, with the one issued in the European Union countries, Moldova’s authorities adjusted the structure of the QR code according to the EU standards. Thus, all holders of COVID certificates issued by the national system till 16 November 2021 must download the document repeatedly from the webpage https://certificate-covid.gov.md/, in order to get the variant homologated and accepted by the authorities of EU, including of Moldova.
To verify the newly downloaded certificates, access https://certificate-covid.gov.md, the section Verify Certificate or any application interconnected with the European gateway. The applications can be downloaded for free from Google Play or App Store, on a mobile phone or tablet.
The COVID-19 certificate comprises three types of distinct certificates: certificate of vaccination, certificate of testing and certificate of recovery.
