Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic met yesterday US Ambassador to Chisinau E.S. Dereck J. Hogan, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Lesnic made a review of the developments and achievements marked this year on the Transnistrian settlement dimension, outlining the priority issues due to be addressed in the negotiation process over the next year.
At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister thanked the US official for US support in finalizing the text of the Declaration on the Transnistrian conflict settlement process in the 5 + 2 format approved on 7 December 2018 in Milan at the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting.
Lesnic also referred to the recent dialogue platform established between Chisinau, Kiev and Tbilisi, formalized by a memorandum of understanding and mutual cooperation, which created the necessary cooperation framework for the exchange of good practices in promoting reintegration policies by the constitutional authorities and the initiation of deep regional cooperation on issues of common interest.
At the end, E.S. Dereck J. Hogan thanked Lesnic for constructive dialogue and communicated information, highlighting the US's willingness to support the regulatory process through technical assistance offers and projects aimed at promoting confidence-building measures between residents on both banks of the Dniester.
