
Moldovan parliament speaker says parliament fully committed to carry out agenda of needed reforms
Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, on a visit to Chisinau on these days. The officials discussed the European integration path of Moldova, opportunities of boosting the bilateral relations, as well as about the Moldovans who live in Italy.
In discussions, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu stressed the fact that the European integration way of Moldova was an irreversible one. ‘’The parliament is fully committed to carry out the agenda of reforms necessary and the justice and combating of corruption, the energy efficiency and the renewable one, the public security and order stay priority,’’ the parliament speaker said.
Also, the officials discussed about the Moldovans who live in Italy, who make the relations between the two countries closer. In the context, Italian President Sergio Mattarella said that an appreciated and active, both socially and economically, community of Moldovans was present in Italy. ‘’I got acquainted with dozens of families from our villages and cities, who had returned from Italy in the last years, who started businesses with ‘’Italian flavor’’ and this makes us happy and we expect at home the others as well. We bring Europe ever closer, with every family returned and business started,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said.
President of Italy Sergio Mattarella is on a visit to Chisinau on these days; this is the first visit by an Italian president to Moldova. The official of Italy had a meeting with President Maia Sandu. Also, during the visit, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Edmondo Cirielli signed a Declaration, thereby Italy supporting Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
