Moldovan PM meets with representatives of trade unions, associations of employers
Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Ion Chicu, has responded to the request of trade unions and associations of employers to hold a joint meeting. In the dialogue, the head of the Executive has mentioned that he is a supporter of a healthy social dialogue, oriented towards the economic development of Moldova and increase of fiscal base, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
"We shall consult with the social partners the relevant decisions. I also want to invite you to contribute ideas for elaboration of the action plan of Government (PAG), meant to determine the modernisation of the national economy and increase the well – being of the people”, specified Ion Chicu.
PM has underlined that the Government is determined to take all necessary steps so as to implement the provisions of the Association Agreement (AA) and Free Trade Agreement (ALS). In similar context, Ion Chicu has said that there will be changes in the field of remuneration, especially in the sectors where the incomes of employees are very low.
"We are going throughout a complicated period, because we have not drafted a fiscal policy for 2020, but there is no project to rectify the budget for 2020. That is why we shall have to work urgently and try to find common points with our social partners”, said PM.
