Moldovan premier discusses with residents of Orhei district village
Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - A visit by Prime Minister Dorin Recean to the central Orhei district continued in the Camencea village, Donici commune. In this settlement, the PM inspected the march of the works within a project financed through the European Village programme, which sees the creation of conditions for residents’ supply with water, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Almost 80 per cent of the project’s works have been already carried out and 104 out of those 424 households have been connected to network. In the nearest time, the system will be supplied with water from an artesian well of the settlement. The aqueduct has 11 km and comprises the entire village. The local administration is set that, till next November, to connect the social objects of the village to the sewerage system and to build the water-purifying station. The project’s overall value is of 6.6 million lei.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean welcomed the initiative of the local administration and the citizens and encouraged them to take efforts, in continuation, to develop the settlement, including through the submission of files within the next step of the Express European Village Programme.
„I know that 20 settlements from the Orhei district have received financing to carry out projects within the European Village programme, of which 3 ones have been finished. Only through our work at all levels, we will be able to develop the communities, modernize the infrastructure and edify Europe at home. Only together, we will manage to change for the better the living of the people from villages and cities,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.
The prime minister and Camencea residents discussed problems faced by them, among which the prices for energy resources, jobs and access to quality medical services. PM Dorin Recean emphasized that the authorities had worked to decrease the tariffs for electric energy and continued efforts to diminish the costs for the natural gas.
