Moldovan, Romanian officials broach cooperation
Chisinau, 23 Feb. /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean welcomed Prince Radu to the government. The agenda of the discussions included topical elements regarding the state of affairs at the local, regional and international level. Increased attention was paid to the steps taken by the Republic of Moldova in the process of aligning with European standards, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Recean expressed gratitude for the efforts made by the Royal House in promoting the image of the Republic of Moldova in the world and strengthening the existing economic partnership between the two banks of the Prut.
"We are grateful to you that, through what you are doing, you put Moldova on the world map, promote so generously, in the major European capitals, our desire to join the EU, but also because you manage to mobilize the Romanian business community to invest in our country. It is important to intensify the partnership with Romania", said Recean.
"Together with Her Majesty Margareta, we do our duty to the Crown, to our ancestors and to our common future. We proposed to make a tour in European countries, where our voice can mean something, and through our presence to make it better understood why it is important for the Republic of Moldova to become a member of the EU. We want to do things in Bucharest and in Chisinau to support Moldovan-Romanian cooperation in the education, economy and civil society," said Radu.
