Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu participated today in the Conference Enlargement Report 2025: Progress and Future Priorities of the Republic of Moldova, where the discussions focused on Moldova’s progress towards European integration and the priorities in each area. The event was attended by the Cabinet of Ministers, international partners, academia, business sector and civil society.

‘We know the direction: the Republic of Moldova – a member state of the European Union. We know what we have to do: we must be ready to conclude accession negotiations by late 2027. We have a plan – the National Accession Program – we have a dedicated team and a whole country supporting us,’ the Prime Minister said.

The official appreciated the efforts of the team that worked to accelerate the accession process, noting that Moldova has advanced four times faster in just one year, and the Enlargement Report confirms the strength of Moldovans in working together.

‘We have made progress in every negotiation chapter – from the rule of law and economy to energy, digitalization, education, food safety and social policies. You know these progresses in-depth because you and many others who are not present today have made them! Page by page and legal norm by legal norm. Words of praise are deserved and place even greater responsibility on our shoulders for tomorrow,’ said Alexandru Munteanu.

According to the Prime Minister, in recent years, our country has managed numerous crises, ensured stability, fair elections, and advanced reforms. As a result, people benefit from European infrastructure, can make cheaper bank transactions thanks to SEPA membership, and enjoy lower rates in European states through Roaming like at Home.

‘Please, let this always be, from now on, the core of all our reforms and actions – how people's lives are improved by what we do. We started this journey with hope and continue it with confidence in each other – because we are Europeans in how we live, work and respect each other. This is our role: to lead Moldova on the European path and not allow ourselves to be stopped. Our home is Europe, and we will bring Europe home,’ said Munteanu.
