Prime Minister condemns Russia’s recent attack on Ukraine
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has condemned last night’s Russian attack on Ukraine, which left at least nine people dead and dozens more injured. The official stressed that those responsible for these attacks must be held accountable.
According to the prime minister, there can be no justification for strikes that kill civilians, target residential areas and critical civilian infrastructure. At the same time, Munteanu reconfirmed the Republic of Moldova’s support for Ukraine.
“Dozens of missiles. Civilians killed. Children injured. Homes and hospitals damaged. I unequivocally condemn Russia’s latest massive attack against Ukraine. There can be no justification for strikes that kill civilians, target residential areas and critical civilian infrastructure. The Republic of Moldova stands with Ukraine. Civilian lives are not collateral damage. Those responsible for these attacks must be held accountable,” Alexandru Munteanu wrote in a message on platform X.
Russia launched a large-scale attack last night on several cities in Ukraine, as a result of which at least nine people were killed and dozens were injured. Five people were killed in Dnipro and 25 were injured following the attacks in the early hours of Tuesday. Another four people were killed in Kyiv, and at least 51 were injured, 35 of whom are in hospital. Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said that two high-rise apartment blocks were hit in the city and expressed fears that people may be trapped under the rubble.
