We continue to rely on Latvia's support in promoting the interests of the Republic of Moldova within the European Union and in deepening our partnership in areas of common interest. Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi made the statement, following a meeting with Deputy Speaker of Lativa Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica, in Riga.

The official also held discussions with President of the Foreign Affairs Committee Ināra Mūrniece, as well as with members of the Group for promoting cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

“In the meetings, we addressed the foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Moldova, the progress made in the European integration process, the security situation in the region, combating hybrid threats, as well as the impact of the war in Ukraine. Latvia is a sincere partner of our country, and the constructive dialogue with Latvian parliamentarians reconfirms the friendship that binds us.
